"Stud" is a minor running gag and quote referenced by Scott Pilgrim in his memories when trying to remember past relationships with the girls in his life and shows him believing that the girls who dated him thinking he was manly, strong and attractive.
It is prominently featured through the Memory Cam gag in Volume 6, but it also featured without, such as in Volume 4.

Volume 4[]
When Scott tries to remember Lisa Miller when reuniting with after more than four years, Lisa tries to get Scott to remember how they met in high school.
When Scott begins recollecting memories of meeting Lisa for the first time at St. Joel's Catholic High School, the memory shows Lisa calling Scott a "stud".
Volume 6[]
In Volume 6, when Scott reunites with Envy, she asks Scott if he remembers anything about their relationship, to which he tries to remember through his Memory Cam. In the Memory Cam, which shows Envy calling Scott a "stud" with Scott saying, "Yeah totes".
Later, when seeing Knives Chau, now 18, Scott tries to recall their short relationship, as the Memory Cam appears again, it shows Knives telling Scott "You're so hot and sexxy", which is a definition of a "stud".

- The term "stud" is a slang term for being virlie, which as a result assumes that Scott believes he is has strength, energy and a strong sex drive.
