The duel at Ramona Flowers' apartment was the climactic duel between Scott Pilgrim, Mr. Chau, and Roxie Richter.
History[]
Following Scott through Ramona's subspace, Mr. Chau arrived at her door and prepared to attack her. Scott arrived to her aid, explaining to her that Mr. Chau was Knives Chau's father. Ramona explained how he followed him through her head and asked him to deal with this situation. Scott refused to, pointing out his sword, and asked where her Subspace Suitcase was. Ramona told him it was hanging on a hook in her kitchen but warned not to use it. Scott diverted Chau's attention from Ramona, telling he his the one he wants, before running into the building.
Mr. Chau followed Scott inside, up the stairs, and into Ramona's bedroom, where Roxie was sitting on the bed reading King City. Roxie looked up at him and asked if he was sent here by Gideon to defeat Scott. Roxie immediately pulled out her sword and dueled him, telling him that she doesn't need help defeating Scott, questioning why no one ever believed in her. Scott hid in the bathtub in Ramona's bathroom, as they fought. Roxie realized that Chau was not an assassin by Gideon, instead seeing that Scott still refused to fight her himself, dismissing the excuses of them both having swords. She also dismissed his refusal to hit girls, telling him that it doesn't give him the moral high ground. Ramona appeared in the doorway, telling him she's right. Roxie called Scott a pussy as she and Mr. Chau broke through the balcony and fell onto the yard. Ramona worries for how this will affect her landlord and asked the two if they were okay. Scott asked Ramona if he really was just a pussy. Ramona told him that he "could be less of one".
Scott immediately strides over to Ramona and grips her shoulders fiercely. He respects the fact that she acts mysterious and aloof to protect herself and her refusal to answers his question for her own reasons. But, he tells that he doesn't care about this, because he is in love with her, and believes that their relationship can work. Confessing his love to her, Scott earns +9999 EXP as well as the Power of Love sword, which comes with a +2 to guts, a +3 to heart, a +1 to smarts, and a +1 to will. Scott jumps down from the balcony to confront Roxie himself, gald that he picked longsword proficiency in grade five. Scott and Roxie run towards each other and jump, clashing their blades in mid-air before landing on the grass. Scott asks if she's okay, commenting on the cut he has on his face now. Roxie calls him a dick, telling him that while he may have defeated, he will never defeat the Twins, before a vertical slice separates her into halves, and she explodes, leaving behind bunnies and squirrels.
Ramona reveals that she did in fact date Twins, and when Scott asked if she dated them at the same time, she playfully refused to answer. Scott worries that he will have to fight them at once, and asks if the story could just end here and now. Scott tells Mr. Chau that he never harmed Knives and respected her, noting how he hardly touched her and tried to behave nicely. Mr. Chau, satisfied with his answer, leaves. Ramona confronts Scott, apologizing for cheating on him with Roxie. She apologizes for what she said about him having a fling with Lisa Miller, confessing that she overreacted. Scott cuts her off mid-sentence, telling him he loves her. Ramona believes that she may be in love with him, too. Scott and hugs her and they kiss.
