Encounter at the Second Cup

The encounter at the Second Cup was an attack commanded by Mr. Chau to kill Scott Pilgrim.

History[]

After getting back his job at The Happy Avocado, Scott went to the Second Cup. He tried to get Stacey to make him a free iced latte, only to realise that all Second Cup exteriors lead to the same interior, thus he was greeted by Knives Chau. Scott went for the door, only to get behind the cashier desk after he spots Mr. Chau. Knives asks Scott if he knows her dad, to which Scott tells her that her dad is trying to kill him pretty bad. Knives realized that he must have figured out about Scott after her auntie told her family that Knives was dating a white boy. She jokingly tells him that Mr. Chau probably wants to cut off his head his prized collection of antique samurai swords. Scott goes to check if the coast is clear.

After he emerges from hiding, he comes face-to-face with Mr. Chau. Mr. Chau immediately pulls out his sword and gives chase. Scott locates the Subspace door in the restaurant's bathroom and escapes through it, accidentally stumbling into Ramona's mindscape.

In Ramona's mindscape, Scott found Ramona wearing scandalous lingerie and a t-shirt, sitting at the foot of a large figure sitting on a scaly throne. Ramona comes to her senses and screams at him to get out. She runs to towards him and sends him flying through a window, ejecting them both from Subspace. Ramona angrily confronts him, but he tells her it was an accident and told her what happened at the Second Cup.
