The encounter with Mr. Chau was an assassination attempt on Scott Pilgrim's life, led by Mr. Chau.
History[]
Prelude[]
One day, whilst having dinner with his family, Knives Chau's auntie told Knives how she had seen her walking with her boyfriend. This piqued the interest of Mrs. Chau who asked who this boy was. Upon hearing that this boy was white and cute, Mr. Chau's brain was replaced by a "purely mechanical engine of revenge." He slashed out the picture of Scott on Knives' shrine and proceeded to begin to hunt Scott down.
Encounter[]
Mr. Chau tracked Scott down to the Happy Avocado vegetarian restaurant. Kim notices him and points him out to Scott, only to lose sight as a streetcar passes by. Mr. Chau, undeterred, destroyed the streetcar and immediately targeted Scott. Scott refuses to fight as Mr. Chau had a sword and he didn't. Kim asked who this guy is, and Scott suggested he could be an Evil Ex, only for Kim to point out his age. Mr. Chau forces Scott up against the wall, so Scott opens the Subspace door behind him and escapes with Kim.
Scott later called Ramona, but forgot to tell her all about it.
