The investigation of Julie Powers and Gideon Graves was an investigation launched by Ramona Flowers on Julie Powers and Gideon Graves to determine if they were responsible for Scott Pilgrim's kidnapping.

History[]

After receiving a tip from Matthew Patel, Ramona headed off to talk to Julie about Scott's disappearance. Ramona went to Julie's house where she met Julie. True to what Matthew had told her earlier, Gideon was shacking up with Julie. Ramona questioned whether or not the Gideon living with was not a facade concealing the evil gazillionaire she used to date. Julie leaves with Ramona

At the First Cup, Ramona begins her interrogation, handing Julie her list of suspects. Julie sees that Ramona has Gideon using both of his names, so Ramona asks her to explain the "Gordon Goose" stuff. Julie explains how Gideon, born "Gordon Goose", went to high school with her in Northern Ontario, holding a reputation as the school's biggest geek. She noted how everyone called him "Fearless". However, he took the nickname too seriously, and one day attempted to ask out a popular girl, and even gave her a twelve-point business plan on why she should date him. Gordon's reputation was crushed when she rejected him, and the students mocked him. Julie noted that he moved away after the incident. She told Ramona that she was unaware of Gideon's real identity until he showed up on her doorstep, following his defeat at Matthew Patel's hands.Ramona told Julie how Gordon wasn't like that when she was with him, describing him as being a "twitchy, rage-filled, impulsive, emotionally abusive, controlling, manipulative egomaniac", but she lets it go, guessing that Julie feels happy with him. Julie reveals that she does not feel this way; she told her that, when he showed up on her doorstep, he was fuelled with a desire for revenge, but since moving in with her, he has softened up, and spends his days watching anime. Ramona suggests that, owing to his nature as a plotter, he could be using it, and the League, to hide the fact that he may have kidnapped Scott. She guesses that either he did it alone, or Julie helped him. Julie wishes this was the case, noting that she wanted to do "exciting villain stuff", and tells Ramona that she and Gideon aren't behind the kidnapping, suggesting they be removed from her list of suspects, which she does, depressing telling herself "one step forward, two steps back", before they leave, with Stacey gossiping about it to Wallace.

After picking up groceries, the two go back to Julie's house, finding paint all over the windows and a hole in roof. Going inside, they find that Lucas Lee has arrived and wrecked the place with Gordon. Julie also points out Robot-01, who leaves. Julie immediately confronts Lucas and Gideon, who defend themselves and blame the other for the mess. Lucas takes note of Julie's anger and asks if he can't stay here. Hearing this, Julie yells that they're both going to pay, but before she can attack, Ramona stops them. She informs Lucas that he cannot live here, She tells him to live somewhere else, but he tells her he is bankrupt, being unable to afford a flight back to Los Angeles. She suggests he open his mind to other opportunities, and tells Gideon to treat Julie better than how he treated her.

Ramona prepares to leave, but before she does, she asks where she had seen Robot-01 before. Lucas tells that Robot-01 was present during her investigation on the movie set, but Ramona recalls remembering it from somewhere else. Lucas clues her in that Robot-01 was made Kyle & Ken Katayanagi. With this new information clicking in her head, Ramona leaves the house and exits through subspace.
