Kieran Culkin

Kieran Kyle Culkin (born September 30, 1982) is an American actor who portrayed Wallace Wells in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.

Culkin was born in New York City, the son of Patricia Brentrup and Christopher 'Kit' Culkin, a former stage actor with a long career on Broadway.[1] He has four brothers, Shane Arliss, Macaulay Culkin, Christian Patrick, and Rory Hugh Culkin , and two sisters, Dakota Ulissa and Quinn Kay.[2]

Career[]

Kieran Culkin's first film role was a small part alongside his older brother, Macaulay, in Home Alone as cousin Fuller McCallister. He continued acting as a child and teenager, mainly working in comedies, including Home Alone 2: Lost in New York and Father of the Bride and its sequel.

As a teenager, he alternated between lead roles in independent films and small parts in mainstream films. He played the title role in the film Igby Goes Down, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. He appeared in the Academy Award-nominated movie Music of the Heart as well.

He played Buff in Eric Bogosian's updated version of SubUrbia at the Second Stage Theatre in New York.

He also had the lead role in The Mighty as Kevin Dillon.

Culkin had a guest appearance on the second season of Fargo. Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jason Schwartzman would later join the casts of the third and fourth seasons.

One of Culkin’s largest and most recent roles was in the HBO series: Succession, as Roman Roy; for which he won a Golden Globe Award in 2024 after previously being nominated on two consecutive occassions. He also won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2024 as well for his role in Succession.

Culkin would win another Golden Globe Award in 2025 for his role as Benji Kaplin in the film A Real Pain alongside Jessie Eisenberg.
