Musical Shield

The Musical Shield is a bubble-like energy shield that Scott Pilgrim and his friends conjure during their battle against Matthew Patel at Club Rockit in Volume 1 while Scott and Matthew are singing "Slick".

The shield successfully deflects the fireballs thrown by Matthew and his Demon Hipster Chicks, leaving Scott and the others unscathed. How Scott and his friends manage to summon the Musical Shield is never explained, though Scott hints it has something to do with the power of "friendship, courage, and whatever."
