PENG is a one-shot 72 page sports action comic written and drawn by Corey Lewis, published in 2005 by Oni Press, the same publishers as Scott Pilgrim.
Plot[]
PENG contains the story of The Foot Knux, a young team of Advanced Kickball players and their battle to win the championship. PENG opens just before the semi-final match of the tourney as the final four teams prepare to kick-it-out for the cup.
Scott Pilgrim references[]
- When Kurt, a member of The Dolpheets, is attacked, Abe Bolson, his fellow teammate, turns around and demands "Pilgrim" to get out there and takes Kurt's place, it is then revealed to be Scott Pilgrim who declines and tells him that he doesn't even know why he is there. In response, Abe replies with a simple "skeh".
