The Paparazzi Ninjas are recurring antagonists within the Netflix anime series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. They often target popular individuals like Envy Adams and Lucas Lee.
History[]
The Paparazzi Ninjas first appear in the second episode of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, "A League of Their Own", where they are seen taking pictures of Envy Adams as she arrives at Scott Pilgrim's funeral.
They force their way into the cathedral as they continue to follow Envy and begin to weep when she begins to perform "I Will Remember You" in memory of Scott. They also proceed to leave when Envy walks out after performing, along with the majority of the funeral attendees.
The Paparazzi Ninjas play a larger role in "Whatever" when they pursue Lucas Lee as he lands the role of Scott Pilgrim in the movie being produced about his life at Torontowood Studios.
When it is revealed that Lucas Lee, in the role of Scott Pilgrim, was dating the actress portraying Knives Chau, a high schooler, the Paparazzi Ninjas caughten on to the story and chase Lucas around Torontowood Studios, where they are eventually defeated. Lucas escapes the Paparazzi Ninjas by hiding in Ramona's Subspace Suitcase.
Appearance[]
They are ninjas who wears traditional ninja garb (hood, scarf, socks and mask), and modern shirt matching indigo color; white leg wrap; and shorts, camera and backpack of matching black color.
The high-ranked member however, wears crimson color instead of indigo.
In the fourth episode, Whatever, the ninjas somehow have antennas that makes them look like cockroaches while riding their skateboards.
