Scott's Hair (or Your Hair's Getting Shaggy) is a running gag and quote which features in the Scott Pilgrim franchise in reference to Scott Pilgrim's hair and the backstory relating to Scott's break-up with Envy Adams.
In the film adaption, it usually results in Scott in putting on his hat to avoid the conversation about the length of his hair.
History[]
Scott Pilgrim graphic novels and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World[]
In Volume 2, when Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers are having a date at Scott and Wallace's Apartment, Ramona tells Scott that his hair is getting shaggy.
Scott gets extremely anxious and worried after this as it is revealed that the last time he had his hair cut was in the hours leading up to Envy breaking up with him on New Year's Eve, which caused Scott to have an emotional breakdown. Scott blames the hair cut for the breakup with Envy.
Ramona is later seen cutting Scott's hair which reassures himself that what happened with Envy won't happen again with Ramona.
In a similar vain, the film adaption shows Scott and Ramona having a date at the farmer's apartment. Ramona tells Scott that his hair is getting shaggy.
Scott swiftly reacts anxiously and he abruptly tells her that having his hair cut was the cause of the breakup between himself and Envy.
Later when Scott arrives at Second Cup in an attempt to meet up with his younger sister Stacey Pilgrim, he is confronted by Julie Powers who berates him for hitting on Ramona after telling him not too. He suddenly runs into Envy Adams at the coffee shop, where in which Envy tells Scott that his hair is getting shaggy, the camera abruptly cuts back to Scott with his hat on.
