We're playing a few shows at Lee's Palace this weekend and we're getting some local bands to open.

Envy Adams called Scott Pilgrim to tell him about the event. Envy asked if Scott and his band, Sex Bob-omb, would be able to play on Sunday and invited the band over to see them perform on Friday that week. Scott told his friends and fellow band members, who all agreed to attend Envy's performance on Friday.

Scott visits the place and takes Ramona Flowers with him. There, he notices Stephen Stills' haircut, and Kim Pine's high heels. Soon after, Young Neil swings by with Knives Chau.

Having remembered Knives from an earlier encounter, Ramona questions Scott about their dating history, to which he tells her that they dated briefly. Hollie Hawkes and Joseph attend, as Joseph is interested in The Clash at Demonhead's bassist, Todd Ingram.

Scott and Ramona make small talk with Sandra and Monique, Knives compliments Stephen's haircut and tells him how excited she is to see Envy Adams perform. Stephen tells Knives that Scott used to date Envy.

The first band goes onstage, failing stupendously to get people to dance. Kim notices one of her idiot roommates and asked Hollie to hide her. Another band goes onstage, and while they play, Scott notes that the band sucks. Julie proceeds to insult Scott and fails to think of a comeback.

Lucas Wilson of Crash and the Boys goes to talk with them, as his band also has the Sunday date. He asks if him and his band can open first. Lynette Guycott catches the attention of two guys, who are disgusted once they learn she smokes.

The Clash at Demonhead went onstage. Scott feels uneasy, while Ramona tells him to relax. Julie and Knives go wild. After the band sets up, Envy greets the crowd and thanks them all for attending. the band begins to play "Underwater Motor Scooter". Scott points Envy out to Ramona. Ramona reveals to him that the bassist, Todd Ingram, is her third evil ex-boyfriend.
