The Skirmish at the Toronto Reference Library was a battle fought between Knives Chau and Ramona Flowers.
History[]
Prelude[]
After he started dating Ramona Flowers, Scott Pilgrim was forced to break up with Knives Chau. Whilst Scott and Ramona hung out with Stephen Stills, Kim Pine and Neil Nordegraf, Knives spied on them through Stephen's window, learning about Ramona. Knives, in an attempt to mimic Ramona's style and win Scott back, proceeded to dye her hair.
Fight[]
Knives arrived at the Toronto Reference Library. It justs happened that Ramona was delivering a package to the library with Stacey Pilgrim. After Ramona delivered the package, Knives, wearing ninja wear, sporting a red hair highlight and twin blades, jumped down from the top of the elevators. Ramona saw her approaching and broke off a piece of corporate to defend herself. Ramona raised the piece and deflected Knives.
Ramona asked if she was an assassin sent by Gideon Graves, but Knives ignored her and called her a fatty. Knives lunged at her, but Ramona blocked her and asked who she was.
Getting a closer look, Knives immediately recognized Ramona; they briefly saw each other when Scott took her to the public library and she delivered a package. She comes to the realization that Scott had cheated on her. In response, she introduced herself as Knives Chau and declared herself a "Scottaholic".
Knives jumped onto one of the levels above, and threw down two knives, which Ramona blocked, before discarding her piece and running up the wall to fight Knives.
Knives attempted to attack her, and grazed her face, but Ramona tackled her. As the continued to fight, Knives swung her blades at her again, but Ramona sidestepped the attack and whacked her with a potted plant, while she tells her how Scott will realize that she (Knives) is younger and skinnier. Knives jumped over the railing and Ramona followed her.
Landing on the ground floor, Knives used her insane parkour skills to jump across three levels, while Ramona, too tired from the parkour, decided to abandon pursuit. At the top of the level she was on, Knives threw down a note attached to a knife before escaping.
Ramona opened the note which read "You're ugly and I hate you". Ramona recalled her comment about Scott and asked if she was talking about the same Scott. Stacey told her that they briefly dated before they met, and Ramona asked why Scott would knowingly date someone named "Knives".

- Knives and Ramona do fight in the movie, but rather at the Chaos Theatre instead.
