The Moon is a celestial object that orbits the Earth. It appears throughout the Scott Pilgrim franchise.
History[]
Scott Pilgrim graphic novels[]
The Moon first appears in Volume 2, when Young Neil is heading back to Stephen Stills' house whilst Sex Bob-omb are performing, there are two holes that are visible. In Volume 3, Ramona Flowers revealed to Scott Pilgrim that her third evil-ex Todd Ingram, punched a hole in the Moon for her, which she looked on horrified.
She said that it caused "thirty pages of explosions and tidal waves". After breaking up with Ramona and starting a relationship with Envy Adams, she revealed that Todd went back to the Moon and punched another hole for her, something which she appeared to be touched by, unlike Ramona.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the Animation[]
The Moon can be seen with a hole in it in Scott Pilgrim vs. the Animation when Scott reveals to Kim Pine that he is moving to Toronto. The hole in the Moon implies that Todd and Ramona were already dating during the events of the short.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World[]
In Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, similar to Volume 3, Ramona tells Scott that Todd punched a hole in the Moon for her which she thought was crazy. A week later, Ramona broke up with him after he left for Vegan Academy.
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off[]
In Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, the Moon appears in the opening scene of "Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life" where it can be seen in Scott's Dream Desert. It appears over Ramona as she skates towards him after he falls to the ground and then can be seen in between the both of them when Ramona tells Scott that it is time to wake up. Like in other related Scott Pilgrim-related media, the Moon also has two holes in it, in reference to Todd punching two holes in it for Ramona and Envy respectively.
