The Toronto Subway is a subway system used in Toronto, Canada, that features in the Scott Pilgrim franchise. Along with the Toronto Streetcar and Toronto Busses, the subway forms part of the wider Toronto Transit Commission (TTC).
History[]
Scott Pilgrim graphic novels[]
The subway first appears in at the ending of Volume 1 when after defeating Matthew Patel, Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers travel on the subway to Finch where they agree to be a couple.
In Volume 3, Scott and Ramona go on a subway train to a sushi restaurant from College subway station, as identified by the Toronto Maple Leafs mural at the station they are at, as College is located near Maple Leaf Gardens, where the team used to play.
In Volume 5, after attending Julie's Day of the Dead party at her new apartment, Kim walks to the St. Patrick subway station but is kidnapped by the Katayanagi Twins.
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off[]
Julie travels on the subway to Dupont when travelling home where she encounters Gideon Graves walking next to her house after losing against Matthew Patel.
Trivia[]
- Finch, St. Patrick, College and Dupont are all real subway stations in Toronto.
- Lawrence West, a Toronto subway station, which doesn't appear in the series, is the namesake of Lawrence West Pilgrim, Scott's younger brother.
